VFX Artist and master of Unreal Engine’s Niagara, Jesse Pitela, continues to impress us with his real-time 3D simulations, unveiling a new mesmerizing sim made entirely in Unreal Engine 5.4. In his latest project, Jesse set up a real-time liquid simulation where the liquid particles are meshed as spheres and can change color based on speed, going from black to blue to cyan depending on how fast they move. True to form, the artist utilized UE5’s Niagara Fluids, a built-in plug-in that adds grid simulation to the engine and lets you make physically plausible effects, to bring the sim to life.
